There are two kinds of divorces:

(1) Contested Divorce, 

A contested divorce is one in which the husband and wife cannot come to an agreement on one or several issues related to the termination of their marriage. Where the partners cannot come to an agreement, even with the aid of their respective counsels, or through the Mediation process. The couple must then take their issue(s) to a court to be decided.

Contested divorces are a common scenario, given that there are numerous issues to be worked out between a couple that has decided to break their union. Some of these issues are sensitive subjects such as:

• Custody of children and child support
• Division of assets and property
• Allocation of debts
• Alimony

(2) Uncontested Divorce

A divorce is uncontested when the partners seeking to terminate their marriage agree on each and every item and issue related to the ending of their marriage or agree to try to work it out . This does not necessarily mean that the divorce is amicable, but merely that all disputes between husband and wife were resolved outside of the courtroom in Mediation or between themself's without Mediation or the help of a mediatior .

An uncontested divorce is usually the preferred situation for the parties involved. The process is more time efficient and much less costly than litigation. See what is Mediation  see fees page associated with mediation . Mediation Fees

Also please be advised that my fees do not include the Courts filing fees see link : Court Fees these are for Hillsborough County however every county is the same through out the state of  Florida .

please be advised we are not allowed to advise you of what packet you need to complete. However there is an explanation of what the packet is typically used for to help you select the correct packet .

Even though these form packets have most of the forms you should need they may not be all-inclusive for every case. The Court could require additional forms that may not be included in these packets . Since every County has it's own requirements also the forms needed may vary.

We will help you complete all the forms in each of the packets whether you need them of not  you will need to let us know what packet you wish us to help you complete.

If you choose to represent yourself (pro se) you should be aware that you will be required to follow the same rules that are required in cases filed by persons represented by attorneys. The judge assigned to your case is not necessarily required to grant what you request in a form. If you do not like the outcome of your case, you may not be able to change it. If you have any questions or concerns about filing your case ( pro se) , which means without an attorney you should first consult with an attorney before going any further .

I may only type the factual information provided by you in writing into the blanks on the form. If using a form approved by the Supreme Court of Florida, I may ask you  factual questions to help you  fill in the blanks on the form  and may also tell me how to file the form or forms  and what the fees will be associated with your case .   

We will also Notorize all the forms we prepair and make you two sets of copies one for you and one for the other party  which is included in the price of the packets .

My  fees do not include the courts filing fees of your case or the serving of the forms by a private process server .  Every County in Florida is usually the same but can vary I have attached Hillsbourgh Countys fees list

FORM PACKETS

Dissolution of Marriage with Dependent or Minor Children by Agreement (Packet #1)
Both parties agree that they will Mediate all issues and will complete all necessary forms and requirements. The Cost of this packet is $250.00 without mediation.

Dissolution of Marriage with Dependent or Minor Children Personal Service (Packet # 2) The other spouse will be served with the case.  The cost of this packet is $200.00

Answer to Petition for Dissolution of Marriage with Dependent or Minor Children (Packet # 3) You have been served with a dissolution of marriage case and want to file and answer. $ 200.00

Dissolution of Marriage No Children but with Property, Debts or Alimony by Agreement (Packet # 4)

Both parties agree on all issues and will complete all necessary forms and requirements. $200.00

Answer to Petition for Dissolution of Marriage with Property but No Minor Children (Packet # 5)You have been served with a dissolution of marriage case & want to file an answer.$ 200.00

Dissolution of Marriage No Children No Property Debts or Alimony by Agreement (Packet #6 ) Both parties agree to Mediate and will fill out and file forms.  $ 200.00

Dissolution of Marriage No Children No Property Debts or Alimony Personal Service (Packet # 7) The other spouse will be served with the case. $100.00

Answer to Petition for Dissolution of Marriage No Children, No Property, No Debts, and No Alimony (Packet # 8) You have been served with a dissolution of marriage case & want to file an answer. 

$100.00

Dissolution of Marriage-Simplified (Packet # 9)
There are no children, both parties will sign the petition AND both parties MUST be present at the hearing both parties agree to mediate . $200.00

Minor Name Change, Both Parents Agree (Packet # 10 )
If both parents agree to change a child’s name $250.00

Minor Name Change, Serving (Packet # 11 )
If both parents agree to change a child’s name $250.00

Adult Name Change (Packet # 12)
You want to ask the court to change your name and you are you are 18 years old or older . $250.00

Modification of Alimony (Packet # 13) Parties Agree
You want to ask the court to change the amount of alimony you are paying. $200.00

Modification of Alimony (Packet # 14) Serving the other party 

You want to ask the court to change the amount of alimony you are paying. $ 100.00

Modification of Child Support (Packet # 15) Serving the other party 

You want to ask the court to change the amount of child support you are paying. $100.00

Mediation of Child support (Packet #16 ) Both parties are willing to Mediate child Support issues and will complete all necessary forms . $ 200.00

Answer to Supplemental Petition to Modify Child Support (Packet # 17)
You were served with a petition to modify support and want to file an answer. $ 100

Mediation of Child support (Packet #16 ) Both parties are willing to Mediate child Support issues and will complete all necessary forms . $200.00

Motion for Contempt/Enforcement (Packet #18)
The other party is not following what they were ordered to do/not do and you want to ask the court to enforce the order. $100.00

Stepparent Adoption - Both Parties Agree (Packet # 19)
Stepparent is adopting his/her spouse's biological minor child and all parties will complete necessary forms .  $250.00

Petition to Establish Paternity and other Relief Both Parents Agree . 

(packet # 20) You and the other parent of a child have never been married and you want to seek legal time-sharing or support. Both parties are agreeing to Mediate and sign all required forms. $200.00

Petition to Establish Paternity and for Related Relief Personal Service (Packet # 21)
You wish to establish paternity you have never been married and you want to seek legal time-sharing or support .The other party will be served with papers. $200.00

Answer to Petition to Determine Paternity (Packet # 22)
You were served with a paternity petition and want to file an answer. $ 200

Supplemental Petition for Modification Custody and Parenting Plan/Time-Sharing (Packet # 23) Parties agree You want to ask the court to change time-sharing of a minor child. You are serving the other party . $200.00

Extended Family Custody Temporary (Packet #27) If you are seeking Temporary custody of a child related to you and you are not the child's parent. Both parents agree   $ 200.00

Petition to Relocate with Minor Child(ren) You are Serving the other party (Packet #28)
You want to move more than 50 miles with the child(ren) in this case and there is an existing court order addressing custody, visitation, parental responsibility and/or timesharing, OR there is a pending case addressing custody, visitation, parental responsibility and/or timesharing. $ 200.00

Agreement to Relocate with Minor Children ( Packet # 29 ) When both parties agree to the relocation of the children and will sign all required forms. $200.00
